Imagine A Place

I am honoured that this painting was juried into the 32nd Purely Pastel Exhibition in 2022 organized by the Pastel Artists of Canada.

This painting began when I was plein air (outdoor) painting the scene in front of me, which wasn't so pretty. There was a pop can someone had thrown into this small trickle of water. I could see the reflections of the sun and like the composition and the way the rocks led my eye into the scene. I slowly began to imagine what it could look like. After sketching the idea, I painted a study that is also available on this website called, From Garbage To Beauty. I took that idea farther, and Image A Place is the result.

This pastel is shipped ready to be framed.
